Carbon Credit
The starting point for carbon credits is about sequestering CO₂ but also introducing methods that prevent future emissions of carbon dioxide. Today's conventional forestry with deforestation releases significant emissions of CO₂. It takes at least 25 years before the CO₂ level recovers after deforestation.
Reduction of CO₂
One extra ton of stored CO₂ is equal to 1 carbon credit. By converting the forest growth into carbon credits, we can create a cash flow back to you every month instead of every 25th year. Carbon credits are sold to companies that need to compensate for their direct emissions of CO₂.
What Are The Benefits
We make your forest healthier, more CO₂ absorbing and more profitable by switching from single-shift farming (deforestation) to three-shift farming (every third tree), where the extra revenue from carbon credits makes the forest more profitable.
Our Method
With the Forestcarb method, it becomes essential to use the forest in a way that achieves maximum sequestration. We use the entire ecosystem and methods to avoid emissions of CO₂. To prevent emissions, our model is based on continuous thinning and in the long run, this creates mixed ages in the forest. This approach enables a maximum amount of CO₂ to bind through the forest ecosystem with different ages of a tree and also postpones the felling of a tree
